Yes it's on, I don't think it can change the port duplex though can it ? I wonder if it's using the Tik version of CDP to go detect port capabilities, and ignoring your settings? On 16 October 2015 at 08:54, Paul Julian <paul@oxygennetworks.com.au> wrote:
HI Damien, sometimes yes, sometimes no.
For example, the one I just had has been running perfectly for nearly 2 years plugged into a RB2011, the Omnitik was hard set for 100M FULL and worked fine. We swapped out the RB2011 for an RB1100AHx2 as it was running out of puff on the site, then we couldn't get the Omnitik to connect up in full duplex again, no matter what we did, then I changed the Omnitik to Auto Neg and the RB1100 to Auto Neg and they are happy, there just doesn't seem to be any consistent setting that works with Omnitiks....

Does a reboot fix it? If so, is it worth using a scheduled script to test it every 10 minutes and reboot the device if it sees it in half-duplex?

Hi guys, a while back I asked the list about the issues we seem to have with Omnitik 5Hnd units and them randomly syncing up in half-duplex 10M, I have exhausted all options with these and after just having yet another one do it I am at my wits end.
It doesn't seem to matter whether you use auto-negotiate or try and hard set the interface speed on the device itself or the device that plus into it but they just randomly decide to go to 10M half-duplex, has anybody else seen this and come up with a concrete fix by any chance ? It only happens on Omnitiks and it seems that it's only on the ether1 port from what I can see.
