Maybe you are unintentionally re-setting MED on received prefixes? 2) enable debug logging on BGP will show you detail on received routes 3) double click on the entry in the routing table to show detail on relevant attributes set Cheers! :) if only that simple
They have done show ip bgp <ip> advertised routes
The metric column I believe shows the MED value and they definitely have it set to.
Interestingly they set med on all their prefixs - they set it to 1 and I have 1 set to all of my prefixs received. Its just missing the ones with 3. So I see the prefix, but it only has a med of three
They have asked me for a dump of the prefixs that are received by bgp.
I only really no to look at the advertised (that's not helpful) or the /ip route print where dst-gateway =<ip address of their router>
Is there some command / place I can see the prefixes received ?
Alex

Maybe they are not /really/ sending MED - only /think/ they are ;-)
Like if they forgot to write config changes and then reboot happened?
Cheers!
Mike.

Hi
Wonder if any one has come across any issue with MED attribute not been see from a cisco router.
I have a client saying they are setting the MED attribute on a prefix and its not showing up on my end.
