Hi Paul, The problem is usually authentication mode for the l2tp termination - many (perhaps most) wholesale providers insist on 'host based authentication' whereas routerOS only supports 'user based authentication' In cases like that, the usual solution is to buy an entry level cisco router to terminate the L2 tunnel then just bridge it to an Ethernet - you can then run the pppoe server on your routerOS interface in the usual manner. Cheers, Mike.

Hi guys, just wondering if anybody has successfully used a Mikrotik CCR or anything really for L2TP/PPPOE termination for stuff like DSL services ?
We need to do the typical PPPOE session termination with AV-Pairs and Framed Routes, Framed-IP etc etc from radius, we currently use Cisco but the jump to something more beefy in Cisco world to handle the increase in NBN service speeds is big so was looking to smooth the transition costs a bit with a CCR if possible.
I know a while back it couldn't be done for some reason but wasn't sure if it worked now in V6 now or not.
