Thanks Mike, Yes, I tend to use openDNS or Cloudflare 1.1.1.2. I see quad9 also is well respected. Hi Mal,
You'd probably also need to add a dns based web filter for a closer match to Fortiguard functionality.
Cheers!
Mike.

Hi all,
Thanks Mike,
Yes that helps. I was asked to see if we could use a MT solution to go up against a FortiWiFi 30E
It seems the Axiom Cyber Shield would go some way toward meeting the functionality of the Fortigate.
Cheers,

Hi Mal and all,
We did run an evaluation subscription for a while, and can confirm that it certainly 'works as advertised' but in the end we found that the reporting data (at the time valuated) was rudimentary at best and we thought it was difficult to find the value in a USD300/year subscription cost per router.
The analytics essentially came down to "we detected 'x' packets of type 'y' during the Last month". We didn't detect any noticeable change in network or generic attack activity while running it, but it could easily depend on the type of network node and profile of the operator...
It's not something that I would recommend that /everyone/ needs to sign up to for every router they manage, but it is definitely a reasonable option for those who are actively seeking that kind of service :)
Does it help?
Cheers, Mike.

Hi Philip and Mike,
Two and a half years later..... Did you end up running it? I am interested in it and wondering if it has been worthwhile. If you subscribed to the analytics, do you find it useful?
Cheers, Mal

Hi all,
After seeing their presentation at the Melbourne MUM, we've been having a look at Axiom Cyber Shield. Is anyone on here using it and happy to provide some feedback, on-list or off-list? It certainly sounds like a good product, but I only seem to be able to find sales pitch information, not unbiased reviews.
