Good on you Nick, thanks mate, I thought it would be pretty crazy to disable power when disabling the interface for data, but hey, Mikrotik are known to a be a bit quirky sometimes ! I will give it a try Thanks ! Was curious about this. You're in luck. All 5 interfaces disabled - however the device is still powered. Stupid question perhaps....but, I have access into a CPE via the wireless link, and in good Mikrotik fashion the router I have on the other side of the CPE, also a MT, has auto negotiated at 10M FULL, so I need to disable the interface and re-enable it from the CPE side, but, the CPE is powered using POE on that same interface.
Sooo, if I disable the Ethernet interface will it lose power or is the POE totally separate from the data side of the interface, I am pretty sure it is but before dropping this interface I Want to be 100% sure as it's a long drive to re-enable it J
