Hi guys, I'm the Andrew that Mike mentioned below. Our real-world test link is around 12km between two Geelong based MelbourneWireless nodes, and will consist of a netbox + sector AP, with an SXT as a station as soon as I can get my hands on them. We've historically used mainly Ubiquiti radios with Mikrotik boxes on routing duty, but I'm very keen to see how these 802.11ac Mikrotik radios perform, as having the full RouterOS feature set on our radios would be very handy. Cheers, Andrew. -----Original Message----- From: Public [mailto:public-bounces@talk.mikrotik.com.au] On Behalf Of Mike Everest Sent: Thursday, 24 July 2014 3:58 PM To: 'MikroTik Australia Public List' Subject: Re: [MT-AU Public] 802.11ac SXT's Hi Paul, They haven't hit the ground yet! I ordered a couple of cartons of each product as soon as they were announced - that was at least 4 weeks ago - and they are only JUST in transit right now. They are due to arrive around middle of next week. First up, the SXT models (CPE and AP product) are arriving next week, then the 'netbox' product is not arriving until the following week! ;) As soon as I can lay my hands on some, I'll run some tests and see what can be done. We also have a 'real world' test lined up thanks for Andrew (also on this list) using one for a melbournewireless link. I'm expecting some honest assessment from Andrew - and will post the results here (if he doesn't do it himself! ;-) Cheers, Mike.

Subject: [MT-AU Public] 802.11ac SXT's
Hi guys, has anybody used the new RBSXTG-5HPacD radios as yet and have
any comments ?
We have a couple of short P2P links we were looking at doing, about
1km - 3km, there is a bit of 5Ghz stuff already in the areas and was
wondering
how
these handle a bit of interference, we only need 100M but was thinking
about
trying the new 802.11ac gear when Duxtel gets some in stock.
Regards
Paul
