The Mikrotik has a multicast helper on its wifi. If you set it to full, the AP will send the multicast individually to all connected stations using their unicast mac address (but at high speed) In this case I would assume 1 station. Not quite sure how this works if you bridge the Station, and have lots of wired clients attached. For fun we did try connecting with 10M Ethernet FD, and it actually worked, but still the FTTN NBN connection dropped. The switches SFP ports are earthed to the chassis. Has anyone had any experience with Multicast video over wireless? It is not preferred over wired, but if it works without corruption it could be an option. Thanks all for the suggestions. What a wealth of knowledge!
I confirm the SFP port is earthed via the switch to the mains.
Might see if 10M half duplex ethernet works. :) I won't hold my

is probably about 250m via the MDF.
It is LOS across a few stretches of tin roof so maybe we can do wireless. Does anyone recommend any products in particular? I am obviously more familiar with MT, but can look at others.

Oooh, do you have said tool??
I've read about folks getting a copy of it initially, but noone has mentioned being able to source a copy for at least two years.. I would LOVE to get a hold of it and see what raw packets they're sending to the SFP to try and build a little linux utility to interface to MRTG :)

Proscend have a tool you can use to view the signal strength etc if you contact them. They might even have newer firmware you can try. I can't remember if it lets you make any changes, but I used it to determine that the Draytek Vigor 130 was about 10% faster on a 100/40 NBN connection so I didn't keep using the Proscend CPE's.
Kind regards

The trouble is there is no way to monitor or change any settings on the Proscend modules. They are really plug and pray.

Make sure the PS180C-R is using profile 17a.
If the distance between the 2 PS180C-R modules is very short, perhaps put in an attenuator at the CO end.
