G'day! I think -65 is quite a bit too optimistic :-} At 58000MHz, free space loss alone is about 138dB. Assuming your EIRP is set to max allowed of 36dBm (single pchain only) then signal at the receiver end would be 36-138 = -102, then add the antenna gain at the receiver end (25dBi) gives a theoretical result of only -77 Still good enough for a reliable link, but not near your estimate... Of course of your deployment locations are eligible for a5GHz license, you may be able to achieve that kind of result! (is that what you are calculating?) Cheers, Mike. -----Original Message----- From: Public [mailto:public-bounces@talk.mikrotik.com.au] On Behalf Of Paul Julian Sent: Monday, 12 October 2015 7:05 PM To: public@talk.mikrotik.com.au Subject: [MT-AU Public] Dynadish ?? Hi guys, just wondering if anybody has any real-world experience on the Dynadish ? I am thinking of deploying a pair of them to tackle a clear LOS PTP link of 35km, all the link planners say I will be at around -61 signal at that distance with those radios and antennas, just wondering if anybody has any comments good or bad before I give it a go.
