HI all, has anybody else seen a sharp increase in MT devices just rebooting for no reason of late ? In the past month or so we must have had about 10-15 reboots for no reason. We have seen a mix of OS versions doing it, even ones with the latest bugfix version on them. CCR's, RB1100AHx2's, Grooves, QRT's, Omnitiks, they just seem to be rebooting out of the blue, it's really strange. We run a lot of MT gear and we are seriously seeing a couple a week just reboot for no reason and I am getting a bit concerned about it. They are all rebooting due to watchdog failure, just the default OS one. I'm interested to see if anybody else is experiencing the same. Regards Paul

No we have a large range of different versions. We also have a monitoring system that would detect an upshift in reboots. Nothing out of the normal. You mentioned watchdog we have that enabled on all we do test the address directly on the other side of the uplink as our stand config Routers are 2011's to ccr1072 Matt -- /* Matt Perkins Direct 1300 137 379 Spectrum Networks Ptd. The watchdog I am referring to is not the one that watches external addresses, it's just the built-in OS one, usually it only reboots the router if there is a software lockup or something but weirdly we have seen a sharp increase in this lately. I have had some WAPACs locking up more than I care for them to or watchdog rebooting (if I have set that up). No reason, various releases of code. On 25 August 2017 at 07:29, Paul Julian <paul@oxygennetworks.com.au> wrote:

You wouldn't happen to be using 8.8.8.8 for the watchdog would you ? If so I note that we have been using it in some cases for recursive routing and experiencing routes being marked as down (false positives) intermittently over the past 2 weeks.
