It's OK - you'll probably get yours before we receive our initial stocks ;) (we only have samples at the moment, for testing and compliance certifications) Incidentally, once they are all ticked off, we'll be looking for an NBN retailer to help us test on NBN services... (talk to me off list if interested! :) Cheers! Mike. thunder.

We'll see! I just realised I've heard nothing since I sent them payment a fortnight ago, so have nudged them ;) Hahah testing will be interesting.. I've already tee'd up our wholesale guys, I'm told that if your port gets blocked due to vectoring not being turned on, it requires a case to be lodged with NBNco, which can take a full day to be actioned - so it's suggested I do it first thing in the morning, mid-week, so it doesn't matter if my NBN goes down for a full business day ;) (so it'll be wednesday morning for me - first of the three days of the week the missus is at work..) Hi Damien/All! I asked our contacts at Proscend about this and received the following reply:
That is definitely a rumor. I was recently informed that 180-T is working fine with a ZTE9806V DSLAM which is set up for Vectoring. Metanoia and we are helping on resolving interoperability issues with unknown DSLAMs models from Deutsche Telekom that don't support vectoring. Metanoia has done many IOT Lab and field tests between VDSL2 SFP and Broadcom-based DSLAMs with vectoring support.

So I guess it is an interoperability issue that may or may not affect performance with different vendor products :-} We'll need to wait for some more thorough testing once we get sufficient units available! :) Cheers, Mike. thunder.

I ran a test yesterday between two buildings with the Proscend 180C/R each plugged into an RB260GSP with about 60-75m of phone cable between the units. Using iperf full duplex testing on TCP they pulled over 144Mbit each way. I am very happy with that so they will be used for this next job rather than pulling new gel filled networking cable. BUGGER, just got an update from innet - allnet can't get them to sync on a g.vectoring port, so it's looking like being a few more weeks :(
That's annoying, as I was sure the thread on the mikrotik forums had them working on a vectoring port.

Hahah testing will be interesting.. I've already tee'd up our wholesale guys, I'm told that if your port gets blocked due to vectoring not being turned on, it requires a case to be lodged with NBNco, which can take a full day to be actioned - so it's suggested I do it first thing in the morning, mid-week, so it doesn't matter if my NBN goes down for a full business day ;) (so it'll be wednesday morning for me - first of the three days of the week the missus is at work..)

Incidentally, once they are all ticked off, we'll be looking for an NBN retailer to help us test on NBN services... (talk to me off list if interested! :)
Cheers!

We've been doing the approvals locally - working with a melbourne based compliance engineering consultants. There is still work to do, though: both models (CPE and P2P) have passed the EMR and RF emissions tests, but electrical safety tests for use on public (i.e. PSTN/NBNCo) networks is still underway ;) Expecting positive results soon though! Cheers, Mike.
