Hi I am contemplating using a 180T and hEX-S. Does anyone have any experience with this combination and long term reliability? Jason Hecker <https://www.upandrunningtech.com.au/>
My 180T (in a hap AC) was working fine until Saturday when I rebooted the router to fix an unrelated issue. Couldn't get it to sync again. I gave up and plugged the Draytek Vigor 130 back in. Really wish the 180T was a bit better because it would be an ideal solution. We've got maybe a dozen 180T's in production, running in RB3011s. Some have been operating for maybe 6 months? No issues to report at this stage. On Mon, 16 Aug 2021 at 13:22, Russell Hurren <russell@zeropointnetworks.com> wrote:

That's a shame then - it probably means that particular line is a bit noisy compared to others. 180T is definitely not so happy to deal with less than perfect line signal :-j Ironically, the recently announced updates to NBN FTTN profiles would be exactly what is needed to help in this situation - it's a shame that metanoia chose to simply override the new features rather than support them :-} Incidentally, something else that may be worth trying it to ensure that the router has a good earth - we have seen it reported several times that just touching the PS180-T module with a finger causes it to lose sync, then releasing will sync again. It suggests that touching the module introduces some RF noise, so it is apparently important to shield it as well as possible. If the module is plugged in to a device without good earth (like a router with plastic enclosure and no earth pin on power supply/cord) then adding independent grounding may help. Cheers! Mike.

Thanks Mike Yep, it's a terrible line, but I'm renting so not a great deal I can do about it. Being right next to the fridge probably doesn't help much either. That's helpful to know about the grounding.
