Good afternoon all, I’m doing a design for a new install where (on paper at least) a pair of RB3011s will suit the needs perfectly. An RB2011 isn’t going to have enough grunt to handle the work, but there isn’t the justification (or budget) for a CCR. With the architecture change, I’ve held off moving to the 3011 series for as long as possible. For those that are more brave than me, how are they looking in terms of show-stopping bugs now that they have been out for a while? Cheers, Thomas
Hi Thomas, (from a seller's perspective) 3011 is a huge hit. We've received a couple of hundred units since they were released, and so far every single one has been sold before they arrived ;) We have about another hundred on backorder, and 1/2 of those already allocated to open orders :-} I can't tell you from personal experience how good they are, because I've never had a chance to get one for myself yet! :-D Perhaps someone else will tell us ;) Cheers! Mike.

Over all they are quite good. They have the same lets call them idiosyncratic traits as the rest of the range but nothing really stands out other then If you plug in an sfp it drops all the Ethernet ports momentarily . Hasn't stopped us deploy a large percentage of Mikes supply. Matt -- /* Matt Perkins Direct 1300 137 379 Spectrum Networks Ptd. Ltd. Thanks Matt and Mike In this case we won’t be using any SFPs, but that’s worth knowing for future ref. I’ll take the plunge and order a couple now (although that lead time is a killer – we’ll have to go live with a couple of spare 2011’s we have and swap in the 3011’s when they arrive).
