Hey Guys, Any suggestions for which Mikro to use as a CPE for 400M metro ethernet services? Hi Dave, thanks for the question! A minimum requirement would be RB750G (current model is now called 'hEX'): http://shop.duxtel.com.au/products/hEX_ Can easily process 400mbps in fastpath or fasttrack mode, so long as queues and firewall is kept small (less than ~25 queues, ~25 firewall rules) If you need something with more go, RB1100 is the next step up with dual core PPC cpu, or the 9 core tilera CCR1009: http://shop.duxtel.com.au/products/1100 http://shop.duxtel.com.au/products/1009 Also, if you can wait for a couple of weeks, the new 3011 series is coming soon which has dual core CPU and 10x gigabit Ethernet plus SFP. Hope it helps - further questions are always welcome! Yeah haha. I vaguely remember discussion about it at Melbourne MUM being available Q3 this year ;) Dave Browning | Systems Engineer P 07 3369 7666 Level 1, 12 Railway Tce, Milton QLD 4064 From: Public [mailto:public-bounces@talk.mikrotik.com.au] On Behalf Of Jason Hecker (Up & Running Tech) Sent: Tuesday, 1 December 2015 8:09 AM To: MikroTik Australia Public List <public@talk.mikrotik.com.au> Subject: Re: [MT-AU Public] Suggestion for CPE - 400Mbps

Apologies for the 'tease' and even bigger apologies to all for the blatant commercial content of my prior email :-} I actually didn't realise that the original post was in the public list, and responded to it as if it came in to our sales enquiry mailbox - D'OH!! :-} SORRY about that :-j Back to your actual question... the RB3011UiAS-RM has been released for orders by distributors, and is expected to ship (from Latvia factory) after "~3 weeks" If they ship as expected, then we will have them in about 4 weeks (includes about 1 week transit from EU to Geelong) - what are the chances of receiving them by then? I don't know, but I think it is a fair expectation that there should be some available by end of January! Cheers! Mike.
