LNS Implementation
Hi All, We are going to start on selling NBN/ADSL services and thus I need to look into LNS, does Mikrotik support this yet or do I have togo with a cisco? Will be going with AAPT NWB services. Hi Marius, Yes! RouterOS supports LNS mode for L2TP server since about 6.28 (I Think!) Thanks to some significant harassment (and some hard work too, I'm sure ;) of MT developer team by someone on this list (but who prefers to remain anonymous - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE - good work! ;) it is now possible to build a MikroTik-only LNS infrastructure :-) One of our consulting engineers has already finished a couple of implementations - so we know it works too! ;) Cheers! Yes this feature exists and works well. We have tested with IOS and IOS-XE LAC. You can only currently terminate tunnels into the main routing table. If you need Radius VSA'S to terminate tunnels in to VRF's you will still need to go the Cisco/Juniper/AlcaLu way.
