Proscend PS180-T now comes with S041/S043 compliance
September is the month of surprises! We received physical lab test reports today showing compliance of Proscend PS180-T SFP form factor VDSL modems to all relevant AU regulations - so they can now be used for public telecommunications services (including NBN) AND you can admit to doing so! ;-) And so long as they don't melt the SFP cage casings :-}
That's great! I have had a pair of running-warm 180C/Rs going nonstop on a site for 18+ months without issue. How do they compare for speed/distance with other VDSL2 modems? Nice!! :) Question: has anyone succeeded in having them bridge more than two Mac addresses? I’ve had to move back to a bridged vdsl modem (which sucks, as I was enjoying having a straight 1500mtu!!) as I can’t run my test lab at home behind the 180T as it only seems to pass the first two MAC addresses it sees to the VDSL interface. They are a little bit handy with a USB to SFP adaptor makes for a compact VDSL device. Line metrics are a little bit scant though... On Mon, Sep 16, 2019 at 6:18 PM Damien Gardner Jnr <rendrag@rendrag.net> wrote:
