Hi Does mikrotek have something like this The UniFi AP AC HD (UAP-AC-HD<https://unifi-hd.ubnt.com/>) is now available. Comes in at a higher price point, aimed at high density deployments. * 802.11ac Wave 2 * MU-MIMO * 2.4 GHz: 800 Mbps (4x4) * 5 GHz: 1733 Mbps (4x4) * dual gigabit ethernet, supporting link aggregation * power: 802.3at (PoE+) * datasheet: https://dl.ubnt.com/datasheets/unifi/UniFi_UAP-AC-HD_DS.pdf
Hi Alex, To my knowledge, Mikrotik does not have any Wave 2 wireless devices yet, I've only seen Ruckus and now Ubiquiti announce these. The closes thing you could get would be the wAP ac (RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD). Dual band, supports 802.3at PoE, 3 chains for 5.8GHz, and 2 chains for 2.4GHz. Unfortunately, there's only one Ethernet port on the device, a limiting factor that's prevented us from rolling it out in the past (as it's a quite nice design for in-room solutions). Here's the data sheet for it: https://i.mt.lv/routerboard/files/wAP_ac-160419143210.pdf Cheers. Hi So just for clarity, 3 chain this is the number of freq it can span which is why it gets to ac in 5Ghz. Does it have/can it do mimo, multiple in / out I am looking at covering a small business area, say around 30 people, currently have some cisco's with out mimo, but dual 2.4/5Ghz. There can be some slowness when every one tries to do stuff. We have lots of wired connections as well. Hi Alex, In this case, three chains means it's a 3x3 MIMO wireless card (three antennas can be attached to a three chain card, two to a two chain card etc). It does not refer to the channel width you can use, that comes down to the capabilities of the wireless card. Mikrotik currently allows the maximum channel width as 80MHz on their ac products. I assume the current Cisco's, if they don't have MIMO support, that they also don't support 802.11ac? With newer access points, you should see an improvement in speeds. Hi Alex, You won't need to buy any antennas, as they're integrated in these units.
