The CCR1009-7G doesn't have a switch chip, so that won't be an option. -----Original Message----- From: Public [mailto:public-bounces@talk.mikrotik.com.au] On Behalf Of Denis Hancock Sent: Wednesday, 15 November 2017 10:12 To: MikroTik Australia Public List <public@talk.mikrotik.com.au> Subject: [MT-AU Public] CCR1009-7G - Port Mirroring Hi All Has anyone been able to mirror ports ? /interface switch set mirror-source=ether3 mirror-target=ether4 # failure: port mirroring not supported :( -- *Denis Hancock* Chief Technical Officer / Director Helpdesk 1300 139 593 <1300139593> Mobile 0407 687 621 <0407687621> Member AISA OWASP VIC Unit 15, 5 Enterprise Drive, Rowville 3178 <https://goo.gl/maps/HGmhhNncEF12> QLD (Arcare) 14/8 Metroplex Ave, Murrarie 4172 <https://goo.gl/maps/dfeKUES6NbD2> <https://samurai.com.au> <https://www.facebook.com/samuraiconsulting.melbourne> <https://au.linkedin.com/in/denishancock> This email is intended only for the addresses(s) and is subject to copyright. Yep, the previous model, CCR1009-8G had ports 1-4 attached to a switch chip. That was removed with the first revision to allow gigabit speeds to all ports at once, along with adding in the combo port. -----Original Message----- From: Public [mailto:public-bounces@talk.mikrotik.com.au] On Behalf Of Denis Hancock Sent: Wednesday, 15 November 2017 10:25 To: MikroTik Australia Public List <public@talk.mikrotik.com.au> Subject: Re: [MT-AU Public] CCR1009-7G - Port Mirroring Awww - read this https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Switch_Chip_Features On 15 November 2017 at 13:18, Russell Hurren <russell@zeropointnetworks.com> wrote:

The original CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+ had the switch chip, but was superseded by the CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ which no longer features the switch chip. Mikrotik can be slow at updating their documentation sometimes :( we're only human, after all! I just checked one of our CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+ and I can do port mirroring as it has that Atheros chip. Checked a CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ and no luck, no switch chip. -----Original Message----- From: Public [mailto:public-bounces@talk.mikrotik.com.au] On Behalf Of Denis Hancock Sent: Wednesday, 15 November 2017 12:25 PM To: MikroTik Australia Public List <public@talk.mikrotik.com.au> Subject: Re: [MT-AU Public] CCR1009-7G - Port Mirroring Awww - read this https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Switch_Chip_Features On 15 November 2017 at 13:18, Russell Hurren <russell@zeropointnetworks.com> wrote:
