Re: [MT-AU Public] 4G dongle recommendations
I might have to pick one up from Target then, they have some Telstra ones for only $19 at the moment. I looked on ebay and you can buy unlock codes for around $15 or try unlock yourself here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/299746#comment-4567368 What type of VPN are you using to connect back to base? SSTP, L2TP IPSec and will this work if I only have a dynamic IP with DDNS? Kind Regards Kym Weckert
Hi, I use SSTP, but the others should aslo work. As long as the VPN can locate your IP by DDNS it should be fine. Are there any LTE USB modules that can have their NAT and router function bypassed and just get put into a bridge mode? On Wed, 26 Sep 2018 at 15:50, Malcolm Faed <malcolm@avcomm.com.au> wrote:

the SXT LTE does I believe, but most dongles don't support the interface mode required. On Thu, 27 Sep 2018 at 18:30, Jason Hecker (Up & Running Tech) < jason@upandrunningtech.com.au> wrote:

Given I want to use B28 (700MHz) the only other option then might be to use a Sierra Wireless MC7430 (over $200) in a WAP-R. I just tried ordering this cheaper unit but none in stock. http://www.glynstore.com/glyn-mini-pcie-xe910/ I had an engineering sample working a few years ago on Mikrotik (its a Telit based module).
