Ethernet over Twisted Pair
Good news on the Proscend PS180-T SFP certification. What’s the verdict on using twisted pair in place of cat 5/6 where re-cabling isn’t possible? Can I use 2 MK routers with an sfp module in each to achieve this? Would I use pppoe or some other config? Is the above sfp module appropriate for the job? Thankyou, Matt

Yes you can use the 180C/R paired version on a single twisted pair. I have them on a site plugged into RB260GSPs linking 2 motel buildings by reusing the defunct internal phone system wiring. Over about 70m they can do 140Mbit FULL DUPLEX. No configuration - plug and play like regular ethernet.
